THE LEGEND CONTINUES

This sculpture by Jacob Fjelde is located near Minnehaha Falls here in Minneapolis.  It commemorates Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's 1855 epic poem, The Song Of Hiawatha, which tells the story of the fictitious Hiawatha and his lover Minnehaha.  

Not so coincidentally, Minnehaha Falls is located in Minnehaha Park, which is located on Hiawatha Avenue.  The legend truly continues to this day.
