THE NEIGHBORHOOD CAFE

What I love about the Twin Cities, in fact many cities, are the many neighborhood cafes.  Over the years, as city neighborhoods organically took shape, establishing their own feel and culture, these local cafes began popping up as reflections of those communities.  Oftentimes, a small, mom-and-pop run business, they gave an intimate feeling to the area.

The Seward Cafe is just one of the local cafes that still
serve the Twin Cities neighborhoods.

Today, as larger, high-end restaurants move into these quaint neighborhoods, these local cafes have become a dying breed.  In the midst of this gentrification, it’s refreshing to still see a number of these neighborhood cafes in operation - at least for now.

***Do you have a favorite neighborhood cafe in your area?
