FATHER’S DAY 2014
Although Father’s Day has been celebrated off and on in many forms since 1910, it wouldn’t gain notoriety until 1966 when President Lyndon Johnson issued a presidential proclamation honoring fathers, and designating the third Sunday in June as Father’s Day. President Richard Nixon made the day a permanent holiday when he signed it into law six years later in 1972.
This year I’m remembering my father, a World War II veteran who died in 1986, and I'm also sending fond wishes and blessings out to all fathers.
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY EVERYONE!!!
